Acceptable Use Policy

Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy sets out the standards expected of anyone using the IT systems, networks, services and support provided or managed by Axia Computer Systems Ltd. Its aim is to protect users, data and systems and to ensure services are used lawfully, securely and responsibly.

Acceptable use

  • Use systems and services only for legitimate, authorised business purposes.
  • Keep login credentials confidential and use multi-factor authentication where provided.
  • Take reasonable care to protect devices, data and access from loss or compromise.
  • Report suspected security incidents, phishing or misuse promptly.

Unacceptable use

  • Any unlawful activity, or use that infringes the rights of others.
  • Accessing, storing or distributing offensive, obscene or defamatory material.
  • Attempting to gain unauthorised access to systems, data or networks.
  • Introducing malware, or deliberately disrupting systems or services.
  • Sharing accounts or bypassing security controls.
  • Excessive personal use that interferes with business operations.

Monitoring

To protect our services and clients, we may monitor and log the use of systems we manage, in line with applicable law and our Data Protection Policy. Monitoring is proportionate and used to maintain security, performance and compliance.

Breaches

Misuse may result in suspension of access and, where appropriate, referral to the relevant authorities. Where this policy applies to a client’s users, breaches will be handled in line with the relevant service agreement.
